Three colored butterflies flutter around, or is it six differently colored butterflies. You will notice that around each 6-fold center there are only 2 colored butterflies, with the color of the third shading the dots on their wings. For example, if you look at the point where the blue and yellow butterflies touch wings in the lower-right corner, you will see 3 blue butterflies and 3 yellow butterflies. The missing orange butterfly has its color represented in the dots on the wings of both the yellow and blue butterflies. This design has fascinated both mathematicians and normal folk alike.
